TROY, N.Y. -- The new gourmet grocery store opens its doors in Troy. The Grocery features fruits, vegetables, cheese, and meats.
The store itself was built using recycled materials from the city, including the wood which came from St. Patrick's Church in Watervliet.
According to owners, the opening is a celebration of a new place to buy food, and bringing new business to the city.
"This is the first time that there's been a business in this building in 20 years, and we're opening The Grocery. It's something we're excited about. Our customers at the wine bar have told us there is not enough produce and fruit," said Vic Christopher, co-owner of The Grocery.
The owners also own Troy's Confectionery and Wine Bar.
