COLONIE, N.Y. -- Make-A-Wish Northeast New York celebrated its 1,400th wish by welcoming home four children returning from the "happiest place on Earth."
Christopher, Austin, Zackery and Emily just returned home Friday after having their wishes granted for a trip to Walt Disney World. They returned to well wishers at Albany Airport.
"The whole reason that we exist is to be able to provide hope, strength and joy for these children and their families at this difficult time in their lives. It gives them an opportunity to forget about the medical treatments and the hospital stays and everything else they have to deal with dealing with their life threatening medical condition," said William Trigg III, NENY Make-A-Wish CEO.
