WILTON, N.Y. -- State Police say they arrested a man Friday who tried to sell stolen property right in front of them.
Troopers were investigating stolen computer gaming accessories from Wal-Mart in Wilton. They stopped at a local Game Stop to tell the employee to be on the lookout for the merchandise and to see if he recognized the suspect from security camera images. That's when State Police realized the customer at the counter trying to sell used computer items was the suspect from the Wal-Mart larcenies, wearing the same sweatshirt.
Troopers arrested the customer, 22-year-old Jesse Ruggiero, and charged him with petit larceny, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
