ALBANY, N.Y. -- It may only be November, but preparations are already underway for the Washington Park Holiday Lights.
Volunteers worked Saturday to set up lights for the 17th annual event. They have actually been working on displays and overall set up since Columbus Day weekend.
This year's lights commemorate the 25th anniversary of the youth programs of Albany PAL.
One volunteer, who is an instructor at HVCC in the electrical construction maintenance program, says it's a great way for his students to get experience.
"I've been doing it for about four years now and we bring the students down because it's a good hands on practice for these guys, so that they kind of get the feel for what's going on in the electrical trade," Tom Gardner said.
The holiday lights run from November 29th to January 3rd. And, of course, Santa will be at the Lake House until December 23rd.
