WALLKILL, N.Y. -- Another public forum will be held Monday night to discuss the future of the Orange County Government Center.
The group Taxpayers of Orange County is sponsoring the forum. Earlier this month, the group hosted a similar forum.
Taxpayers of Orange County is on a mission to save the building after it closed in 2011. It suffered damage from Tropical Storm Irene and the remnants of Lee.
The group said restoring the building would save the county millions of dollars.
In the past, Orange County Executive Ed Diana advocated knocking down the building and constructing a new one. When asked after his recent budget address, Diana said he was open to compromise and would consider any option that was efficient and effective.
The forum will be at the Dennis Cosgrove Community Center in the Town of Wallkill at 7 p.m.
