DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Dutchess County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the driver responsible for a hit and run accident.
Deputies say a man was crossing Route 9 at the intersection with Old Hopewell Road when he was hit by a car heading north Saturday night. They say the car initially stopped, but then took off.
The victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies say the car was driven by a man. They are looking for a dark colored SUV, possibly dark blue, with front end damage.
