HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- With the reopening of the government came the reopening of national landmarks, including the FDR historical site.
Employees and visitors were welcomed back Thursday morning after lawmakers voted and passed the extension to the Continuing Resolution Wednesday night.
"The entire staff of the FDR Presidential Library is back working and we're all just excited to be open and available to the American public once again," said Cliff Laube, Public Affairs Specialist for the FDR Presidential Library and Museum.
Staff says they are excited to be open as it is peak touring season with everyone coming to town for some leaf peeping.
