KINGSTON, N.Y. -- Kingston High School's football team had a tough battle against Middletown Friday night after 16 players, including 10 starters, were suspended.
Kingston's coach wouldn't say exactly what happened but said the players were suspended for breaking a team policy. He did say it was a hard fight for the team without some of the starting players.
Kingston needed to win this game to have a chance to make it to the Class AA playoffs.
Kingston lost in a tight game. They fell to Middletown 36 to 39.
All the players are expected to be back on the roster by Friday when Kingston takes on Newburgh.
