NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- Newburgh Mayor Judy Kennedy is expected to announce a new program called Project I Am.
The project is meant to introduce and encourage a discussion of positive values. Every month, a new value will be introduced through inspirational posters around the city. It is all part of the effort to encourage the community to participate together.
Project I Am was founded on three simple ideas, including treating others right, making smart decisions, and maximizing your potential. According to organizers, focusing on the positive will lead to reduction and possible elimination of poverty, greed and violence in the city.
