SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- It's not often that you come across a carrot themed festival, but the Agudat Achim Congregation held its annual festival Sunday in Schenectady.
The festival features various vendors and crafters activities for kids, musical performances and, of course, tons of food, with plenty of carrot recipes, including a signature carrot cake.
Money raised at the festival goes to towards the congregation's programs.
"It's our biggest fundraiser of the year. It's a big fundraiser and it's also a way to build community here for both the outside community and the community of the synagogue," Hillary Fink said.
This is the 35th year the congregation has hosted the carrot festival.
