SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A home burglar has been sentenced to 11 years in prison and five years post-release supervision. Monticello resident Michael Hudson was convicted for burglary of a home in the Town of Thompson.
Hudson admits to breaking into the house last December and stealing a flat screen TV, a mink coat, jewelry and other valuables. He was arrested after the car he was driving was seen by neighbors parked behind a home where it did not belong.
Sheriff's deputies found the car abandoned in a ditch and after a brief pursuit, they found Hudson hiding behind a rock.
