SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. -- It wasn't a run of the mill first day of classes at one local college this year. A flash mob broke out at SUNY Sullivan as part of the school's first ever convocation ceremony.
Faculty and staff wore shirts that read "Be Brave," all while dancing to the beat.
The president of SUNY Sullivan says this was their way of welcoming students back to campus and kicking off the semester.
"The recognition that we care enough to plan something that is fun and can really usher in the new year with a sense of high spirit and enthusiasm," President Dr. Karin Hligersom said.
The inaugural convocation is part of the college's 50th anniversary celebration.
