HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- After more than 150 cats were displaced by a fire at the Mid-Hudson Animal Aid Cat Sanctuary this past weekend, Assemblyman Frank Skartados is opening up his office to serve as a drop-off location for donations.
The donations received will help care for the displaced cats, as they are currently being held at nearby shelters.
The shelters are in need of wet and dry cat food, blankets, towels, litter and cleaning supplies.
Donations are being accepted at Skartados' office from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The office is located at 154 North Plank Road, Suite 2 in Balmville.
Donations are also being accepted at Planet New York Tattoo in Poughkeepsie, Honorable Ink Tattoo in Beacon and Playtime Doggie Daycare in New Windsor.
