HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- The Culinary Institute of America hosted a tour Friday at the construction site of its new Marriott pavilion.
The Culinary Institute first broke ground last September. Now, one year later, the 40,000 square foot pavilion is finally nearing completion.
The institute plans on holding various leadership events in the new space and its Director of Communications says they expect many new jobs to be created.
"It's really going to bring many, many new capabilities to the college and to the students to continue to offer the world's best culinary education. Bringing these facilities to New York is really going to revolutionize what we're able to offer right here in the Hudson Valley," said Stephen Hengst, Director of Communications for the Culinary Institute of America.
The Institute says it is already planning events for January in the pavilion.
