RHINEBECK, N.Y. - About 800 runners took advantage of some great weather to raise awareness for Parkinson's disease.
The third annual Fall Foliage Half Marathon and 5-K took place at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds Sunday.
Money raised from the event supports the Michael J. Fox and Northern Dutchess Hospital Foundations.
"My father has Parkinson's disease so Team Fox and the Michael J. Fox Foundation has always been important to me. But with that for fifteen years and you know locally the Northern Dutchess Hospital, you know they've been a tremendous help in the community so we're happy to support them as well," said Fall Foliage Race Director Matt Linick.
The event moved to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds this year for the first time due to more participants.
