NEW YORK STATE -- The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is creating jobs and now these new positions are just a click away. Effective immediately, any job created with stimulus funds must be posted on the state labor department's website.
New York is expected to receive nearly $27 billion in stimulus funds over the next two years. The White House estimates that money will create or retain 215,000 jobs in this state.
The online New York State Job Bank is a free service that allows job seekers to search and apply for positions and employers can post openings and review resumes. To access the site, visit www.labor.ny.gov and click on the "job seekers" tab on the left of the screen.
