JC Clubs helps feed local kids
By: Capital News 9 web staff
There's free food in the City of Albany -- and for a very good reason.
The Victory Christian Church feeds hungry kids in Albany through their JC Club. The year-round program has added extra meals for the summer.
New this year is breakfast. That's served Monday through Friday out of their facility at the corner of Quail and First streets. Bagged lunch is delivered to kids in six parks throughout the city during the week, too. Dinner is served everyday.
The church's pastor said he knew he had to do something to help the hungry kids.

Pastor Charlie Muller said, "Feeding them on Sunday morning before church, they're just like, 'I'm hungry, I haven't eaten,' and reading some of the newspaper articles about kids being left alone for three, four days. We're like, there's a need, let's fill the need."
Muller said if you want to help out the program, you can donate money and items to the church.
