Great Danes talk schedule at media luncheon

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The UAlbany Great Danes are the preseason favorite to repeat as Northeast Conference Champs. They open up their season on August 30th at fifth ranked UMass.
On Tuesday, the players and coaches got together for some free lunch. But there was a catch. They had to talk to the media.
The Annual UAlbany Football Media Luncheon was full of questions and a lot of them had to do with that schedule. The UMass Minutemen are one of the three nationally ranked teams the Great Danes will play. They will also play 16th ranked New Hampshire on September 20th and the very next week, they will play ninth ranked Delaware. Add to the difficulty – all those games are on the road. In fact, the Danes spend the first five weeks on the road and don’t play their first home game until October 11th, when they will host Central Connecticut State.
