La Salle and RPI graduate Pat Reardon is two years removed from college but finally getting the shot he's been waiting for.

Reardon signed a free agent deal with the Tampa Bay Rays organization and has been sent to the Hudson Valley Renegades in the NY-Penn League. They open the season on Monday.

The Renegades play the Tri-City ValleyCats, so hopefully we'll see him in Troy this summer.

Reardon has spent the last two years working out and playing independent ball.

He said playing his home games just 90 minutes from his hometown of Troy is amazing, but he admits his story overall is pretty incredible.
