SARATOGA RACE COURSE -- It's no secret that the Saratoga racing season brings the best jockeys in the nation to our area. This year proves to be no different, while some fan favorites will return to Saratoga, racing lovers will also see some new faces.

Richard Migliore knows this track as well as anyone and was excited to see Rosie Napravnik, among others, get off to a good start on Friday.

"This is her first full meet riding at Saratoga, as well as Joe Rosario. Both of them winning two races in their first full meet in Saratoga on Opening Day made a good impression," said Migliore. "More good news, Johnny Velasquez, last year's champion jockey, is targeting this Wednesday as his comeback day. He had a bad fall at Churchill Downs and he's been getting on horses and he's looking good."

Migliore said the quality of racing this year could make it the best Saratoga season in history.
