89 marijuana plants found in Hudson home
HUDSON, N.Y. -- Peter Lemery's idea of a "couple of plants" might not agree with that of the law's definition.
Acting on a tip, Hudson police officers say they questioned Lemery about whether he was growing marijuana. They say that's when Lemery admitted he had a "couple of plants" and gave police permission to come inside. When they went upstairs, police say they found an extensive operation including 89 plants, equipment and manuals on how to grow. Hudson Police also found $4,100 cash.
After the pot is dried and weighed, police expect to charge Lemery with criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree.
