Forum to create Jaliek's Law
TROY, N.Y. -- A community forum in Troy to create "Jaliek's Law" was held Thursday night.
Twelve-year-old Jaliek Rainwalker disappeared on November 1st, 2007. The forum was designed to come with ideas and a plan to create strict post-adoption oversight for hard to place children, like the adopted Rainwalker.
"We're working on putting together Jaliek’s Law, which would, hopefully, get the support of the legislature and get it passes where it would improve on post adoption services, have stricter post adoption services," said Rev. Tim Sherman.
