Eight suspected of car break-ins in Pine Hills neighborhood
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Police in Albany say the Pine Hills neighborhood was hit hard with a string of car break-ins. They now say they have six juveniles and two adults responsible. Police also say the teens are responsible for 100 other break-ins over the past several months.
The investigation found the eight people were working together to break in the car windows and steal electronics from the cars including iPods and GPS systems.
The two adults arrested are Winston Wilburn, who is accused of breaking the windows of three cars on Partidge Street and was arrested earlier in the week, and Andrew Kellert, who was arrested Thursday morning and charged with possession of stolen property. Kellert had a GPS stolen from a car on Terrace Ave.
