Community marks one year since Jaliek's disappearance
CAPITAL REGION -- Community members are keeping a missing Greenwich boy in the spotlight, as this weekend marked one year since the disappearance of Jaliek Rainwalker.

Friends and family members took part in a series of events to mark the somber occasion. The Find Jaliek Task Force drove a caravan along the route that his adoptive father, Stephen Kerr, said he took Jaliek the last night he was seen.

No one has been charged with Jaliek's disappearance, but police have called Kerr a person of interest. Kerr said his adopted son ran away from home.

Grandmother Barbara Reeley said, "Maybe somebody has that missing piece that will come together. I've been asking and pleading with people, if you saw or know anything, no matter how insignificant or when it happened, please come forward."

The group finished the night with a candlelight vigil in Mowrey Park in Greenwich.
