HAGAMAN, N.Y. -- An elderly man is dead after a fire in the Town of Hagaman.

Deputies said neighbors believed a man was still inside during the fire. Firefighters said they tried to go into the home but were unsuccessful.

Vincent Patrick, 84, died in the fire.

The cause is not know at this point, but officials don't believe it's suspicious.
