Two arrested in connection with Bethlehem stabbing
BETHLEHEM, N.Y. -- Two Selkirk residents are arrested in connection with a stabbing in Bethlehem. Around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a call for a fight which ended with a man getting stabbed.
James Ainsworth, 31, was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court and taken to Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
Jamie Smith, 29, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Her 6-month old baby was present at the stabbing.
The victim, a 35 year old Glenmont man, was taken to Albany Medical Center where he's in stable condition. There is no word yet on what started the fight.
