SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- A Schenectady man who police said planned to move to Florida on Monday was arrested on child porn charges on Wednesday.
Schenectady police said Bruce Todd, 61, has been a resident of Putnam Street since 1981 and had planned to move to Florida next week.
He arranged to have his belongings moved, but a computer he had given away turned up at the police department.
Police said the computer contained hundreds of photos and several videos of children involved in sexual acts. A criminal investigation linked Todd to the computer.
Todd is charged with possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child and promoting a sexual performance by a child, both felonies.
