My first offering is by New York Times best selling feline author Dewey called, "Dewey, There's a cat in the Library". This is the touching tale written for children by Vicki Myron and Bret Witter based on the real life story of Dewey the cat who was rescued from the book drop slot on a cold dark night and raised as Dewey Readmore Books. This beautifully illustrated book would make a fantastic addition to any collection any time of year.

Next up New York Times bestselling author of Marley and Me, John Grogan brings us "A Very Marley Christmas". With Christmas coming preparations are underway and Marley, of course, manages to get into a little holiday mischief. Bright beautiful illustrations and a fun story make this a soon to be holiday favorite for the entire family.

My final choice is for older kids who are looking for a challenge, "51 Puppy Tricks", by celebrity trainer Kyra Sundance. This book gives step by step instructions on how to teach your dogs lots of new tricks. If your child is enthusiastic about the family dog this book is for you. Kyra shows a wide range of tricks from shake to opening the refrigerator door. "51 Puppy Tricks" is not just for puppies and can be used throughout the life of your pet to expand on their training.

Books are one of my favorite gifts to give and receive and you can find all of these titles at your nearest book store along with hundreds of more choices for animal lovers of all ages.
