Teen injured in Delmar fire

DELMAR, N.Y. -- A Delmar teenager is at the burn unit of Westchester Medical Center after a fire inside his house over the weekend. It happened around noon Saturday on Adams Place.
Explosions in the home had firefighters taking extra precautions while battling the fire. Several fire companies and Hazmat crews responded.
Fire officials said when they got on the scene, the home had heavy flames.
Keenan Sanchez was found in the basement with burns covering much of his body. He was taken to Albany Medical before being flown to the burn unit at Westchester Medical Center.
Two Bethlehem police officers and two EMTs were taken to Albany Medical Center to be treated for possible exposure to an unknown chemical.
The investigation is ongoing.
