COLONIE, N.Y. -- Following a failed terrorist attack on a Northwest Airlines flight on Christmas day, Albany International Airport continues to operate at a heightened security level.
Passengers may experience longer waiting periods at the security checkpoint.
Airport officials said passengers flying out of Albany should consider arriving up to two hours before their scheduled flight departure. Travelers should also be prepared for possible delays when making their flight arrangements.
Albany County sheriff's deputies will be patrolling the terminal, along with State Police K-9 patrols.
