Another guilty plea in connection with Bailey murder

ALBANY, N.Y. -- A second suspect makes a guilty plea in connection with the murder of UAlbany student Richard Bailey, narrowing the case down to the accused triggerman.
Richard Caldwell pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted robbery, and as part of his plea he has agreed to testify against Devon Callicutt, who is accused of shooting Bailey in the head in October 2008.
Caldwell told police that he, Callicutt and King Modest rode their bikes up to Bailey and confronted him. Caldwell said he and Modest were the "look-outs" and that he didn't even see Callicutt shoot Bailey.
According to court papers, Callicutt then told Caldwell he "messed up" when he smacked Bailey with the gun and that he hoped he didn't kill him.
Back on Jan. 14, Modest made the first guilty plea to robbery charges. He faced 25 years to life in prison if convicted of second-degree murder. He now faces 10 years in state prison for first-degree robbery.
When Modest pleaded guilty, Callicutt's attorney said she believed the DA made the deal because he lacked evidence.
