COLONIE, N.Y. -- The Albany County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Schenectady man who they said stole several vehicles from the car rental service where he worked.

Omar McKenzie, 21, was employed as a Service Agent by Avis Rent a Car at the Albany International Airport. McKenzie is accused of stealing at least two vehicles and then renting them for a small fee to people in Schenectady.

After learning that several stolen vehicles were located in the City of Schenectady, investigators from the Albany County Sheriff's Office worked with detectives from the Schenectady Police Department who recovered three additional stolen vehicles. Three people were arrested for possession of the stolen vehicles.

The sheriff's office said all the vehicles recovered had been stolen from the Avis Rent a Car where McKenzie was employed.

McKenzie was arraigned on two counts of third-degree grand and sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
