PITTSFIELD, MASS. -- You may have heard of him, the comedian "Godfrey". You've probably seen him doing stand up or as a 7-UP spokesman. But just recently, he was at the Dakota Stake house in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, working on a new pilot for Comedy Central; a potential series known simply as "G".

"It's a new level of comedy that I am bringing to America and to the world because nowadays it's all about internationalism now,” said Godfrey, comedian-actor.

"G" is basically a cop show spoof with one unusual twist. Godfrey's partner is not another actor- it's a 12-inch action figure based on the actor Jason Statham.

"I'm a big fan of Jason Statham, I do a lot of jokes about Jason Statham, so we have actually an action figure that was shipped to America, so he's kind of going to be co-starring with me in this G pilot,” said Godfrey.

Considered one of the hottest young comedians when started in standup nearly fifteen years ago, Godfrey has also performed for several television specials, hosted comedy festivals, and who knows, maybe even end up winning an academy award.

"I just came back from the Cannes Film Festival, I have a film short that made it to Cannes, and now it's in a short film festival in L.A., which can also lead to a nomination of Oscars for short films, so I'm always hustling and doing comedy around the country,” said Godfrey.

I was also lucky enough to witness his Bill Cosby impersonation.

“In the Berkshires, I got a place in the Berkshires, in the Berk, in the shires,” said Godfrey.

But anyway, back to the show. The shoot also took place at the local Madison Café. If picked up- "G" could become a common sight on Comedy Central but before I continue, Godfrey has some final thoughts.

"It's good from eight to eighty years old and get ready to laugh differently, and that's how I say it,” said Godfrey.
