ALBANY, N.Y. -- This Sunday U-Albany will host the Giants summer training camp---right across the street from eager business owner, Henry Klein.

"It means a lot, it really does. To not only my business but to our fellow competitors up and down western avenue and we are super appreciative the giants are coming back," said business owner Henry Klein.

Klein says the camp-and the fans it draws bring the Capital Region a much-needed financial boost

"This year has been particularly challenging, I mean the economy is not doing well and it's reflected on Main Street all over the country," Klein said.

The Giants attracted a record 57,000 visitors last year but the fans aren't the only ones venturing into town after practice.

"We do very well between the coaches, the fans from the camp, just everyone, we do specials for them, it's great for business, " said bartender Heather Ciccone.

Businesses up and down Western Avenue brag about past visits from players grabbing a slice a pizza or a drink investing their dollars in the local economy

"A lot of the players come, not last year but the year before we had Plaxico's birthday here there was a good amount of them," Ciccone said.

Hey, the more the merrier, right?
