NEW YORK STATE -- Governor Cuomo has announced his pick to head the Empire State Development Corporation. Cuomo is nominating Kenneth Adams to serve as the corporation's President and CEO.

Adams is currently the President and CEO of the state business council, a private organization that tries to help businesses grow and create jobs. If he's confirmed by the State Senate, he'll take on similar tasks with the ESDC.

One of Adams' main tasks will be working with Lieutenant Governor Bob Duffy on creating regional economic councils.
