The search continues for a Westchester County teen, who police say was visiting friends at Skidmore College and disappeared early Sunday morning. As our Matt Hunter reports, after night of intense winter weather, police are doing all they can to find him before it's too late.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – "I want them to know that the police and fire departments, along with other agencies involved in the search, are using every available means to locate Alexander. "

That was the message Saratoga Springs Public Safety Commissioner Richard Wirth tried to deliver on Monday afternoon to the friends and family of Alexander Grant, a 19-year-old from Westchester County who Saratoga Springs police say disappeared early Sunday morning, after attending a house party on Church Street Saturday night.

"He was last seen there between 11:30 p.m. and midnight,” police lieutenant Gregory Veitch said. “His whereabouts between that time and when he was seen on the security camera at 1:15 a.m. are unknown."

Less than two hours after leaving the party, surveillance video captured Grant breaking into an office building through a window at 3 Care Lane and 45 minutes later, the video captured him leaving. At around 5 p.m., Grant’s friends, whom he was visiting at Skidmore College, reported him missing.

"Last night with the deteriorating weather conditions, several search parties went out briefly,” Veitch said. “They were able to locate some footprints, unfortunately those footprints had been covered over by the time they got out there."

A pool of blood was found near the broken window, leaving police to believe Grant is in need of medical attention.

Roughly 150 feet from the building, his pants, identification and one sock were found on the ground. Police spent most of Monday searching the heavily wooded area between Church Street and Denton Road.

"When you get into the woods, the snow is up past your knees, it's difficult going," said Lieutenant John Solan, a forest ranger with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

Police say Alexander traveled to Saratoga in his person vehicle, which authorities have located within city limits. While that may make less likely he made his way out of town, police aren't ruling anything out.

"Until we actually hear from Mr. Grant, we have to assume that he needs assistance and we have to look for him in that manner," Veitch said.

Police have used various search methods, including thermal imaging, dogs, helicopters and attempts at pinging his phone, but still have no leads.
