VOORHEESVILLE, N.Y. -- A group of eighth graders can now say they are the best in the world. The Voorheesville students are members of their Odyssey of the Mind team and just won the World Championships in Maryland.

They beat 64 other teams from around the world with their problem solving skit. They traveled to the University of Maryland over the holiday weekend.

The students had to come up with a creative solution to a given problem on their own, develop and write a script, design their own props, and then perform it. After months of practice and hard work, they took home the top trophy.
