ALBANY, N.Y. -- The energy consulting firm, AWS Truepower, has been recognized for its "green" initiatives overseas.
Congress Paul Tonko and the Department of Commerce presented the firm with the Export Achievement Award. The recognition is not only for international growth, but for creating jobs as well.
The president and CEO of the firm says it has been their mission since the beginning.
"We began as a fixture in the capital district about 25 years ago. Offering services not only in renewable energy, but also air quality, but our passion has always been in seeing a greener state, greener country and spread that abroad," said Bruce Bailey, President and CEO of AWS Truepower.
"When we can take that intellect and put it to work in a way that produces jobs, produces benefits and allows for a wise stewardship of our environment that is great potential," Tonko said.
The export achievement award was created in 2001.
