SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The investigation continues into a shooting on Mumford Street in Schenectady that left a man critically injured.

Schenectady police said Riley Ritter, 23, was shot inside a house at 505 Mumford Street, where his girlfriend lives. He was taken to Ellis Hospital where he is being treated for a gunshot wound to the neck.

Police believe the shooting was a result of a dispute between the victim and his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend. Police are still trying to locate the suspect. His name has not been released.
