GUILDERLAND, N.Y. -- A newly renovated urgent care facility opens in Guilderland to help provide services to patients and employers.
Occupational Health Centers unveiled the new Western Avenue facility Wednesday. Some features include new procedure rooms, digital X-ray services and extended weekday and weekend hours.
OHC's parent company, Concentra, said urgent care centers meet important needs for patients.
Concentra Regional Operations Director Mattew Flynn, PT said, "Urgent care can be a solution that is much more cost effective and also much more specific than of a patient going to an emergency room. Not only is the care very skillful and directly provided by physicians that are qualified and have experience in this market but it's also efficient from a time prospective and a cost perspective."
About a million dollars was invested to upgrade the new facility.
