TROY, N.Y. -- Troy police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash. It happened around 7:30 p.m. on Pawling Avenue.

Troy police said William Brennan, Jr., 39, hit the side of the car that was pulling out of Victoria Avenue.

Brennan was rushed to Albany Medical Center where he later died. The driver of the car was not seriously injured.

Police said Brennan is the son of a retired police officer.
