CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. -- Clean up continues after severe weather hit the Capital Region on Sunday. National Grid reports that power has been restored for most of their customers who lost power.
Parts of northern Berkshire County were under a tornado warning last night. So far there's no indication that a tornado actually touched down anywhere. The thunderstorms did cause some flash flooding in the city of Pittsfield, particularly on East Street near Taconic High School and on Elm Street.
There were many reports of wind damage with the first line of thunderstorms that moved through the Capital Region around 1 p.m. Sunday. In Selkirk, gusty winds toppled trees and power lines, causing people to lose power for several hours.
