COLONIE, N.Y. -- The Town of Colonie has been made aware of a deteriorating condition at Lock 7 in Niskayuna that has the potential to negatively affect residents of the Town living along the Mohawk and Hudson Rivers. As a result, The Town of Colonie Supervisor's Office and Town of Colonie Emergency Management Office is urging the residents to voluntarily evacuate the following areas:

River Road from the Niskayuna Line to Onderdonk Road (both sides)
Northview Road
Forts Ferry Road North of Onderdonk Road (both sides)
Shaker Bay and Takkenkill Road
Schaeffer Road, Alix Road, and Islandview Road
Nemith Road, Schermerhorn Road North of Nemith Road, North Schermerhorn Road North of Nemith Road
Crescent Terrace
Dunsbach Ferry Road (both sides from 192 and higher street #'s)
Cohoes Crescent Road
Maplewood (bordering the Hudson River)
Village One Apartments
Oakland Avenue, Elmwood Road Extension, and Irving Place. A reverse 911 message has been sent to the affected areas stating the above information. Residents that need assistance with evacuation should call 783-2744.
