TROY, N.Y. -- An overnight fire affecting two houses in Troy remains under investigation. It broke out on Linden Avenue around 3:45 a.m.

Fire Chief Tom Garrett says the first firefighters to arrive fought dangerous conditions.

"Crews found flames 30 to 40 feet in the air in between the two buildings here," said Chief Garrett.

Fire Chief Garrett also says no one was hurt, but there was major damage to one of the houses and two cars.
