Two men arrested for cocaine possession during traffic stop
WESTERLO, N.Y. -- A traffic stop leads to the arrests of two men for cocaine possession.
An Albany County deputy sheriff was on routine patrol Sunday morning when he stopped a vehicle operated by Neil Wallace, 20, of Freehold, for vehicle and traffic violations. When the deputy approached the vehicle, he saw a pipe used for smoking marijuana in plain sight.
An investigation at the scene led to the deputy seizing 21 grams of powder cocaine worth about $30,000, a small amount of marijuana, a weight scale, and $1,100 in cash.
Wallace and his passenger, Andrew Tobin, 20, of Greenville, were arrested and are facing drug possession charges. They were arraigned in the Town of Westerlo and released on $20,000 bail each.
