NEW YORK STATE --There are new limits coming for protests at military funerals in New York State.
Governor Cuomo has signed two laws to triple the buffer zone from 100 to 300 feet for protests around religious services, funerals, burials or memorials.
The state and municipalities will also be able to establish 1,000 foot zones around funerals on public land and require permits for related demonstrations.
Protesters who violate the law will face fines.
The laws begin to take effect in March of next year.
