Two men wounded in midday shooting
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Schenectady Police are investigating a shooting in broad daylight. They said it happened in the area of Close and Barney Streets just after noon Sunday.
One man walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the neck. Police said another victim left the scene in a vehicle that later crashed into the fence of St. John the Evangelist Catholic School at the intersection of Union Street and Union Avenue.
Investigators believe the two are victims of the same incident. Detectives interviewed neighbors and marked nearly two dozen pieces of evidence on the ground.
