TROY, N.Y. -- A Troy man is killed while working on a home improvement project.

Police say Fred Ciccarelli was on a metal ladder doing roof repairs when the ladder fell backwards, coming in contact with a live power line.

Ciccarelli was taken to Albany Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The exact cause of his death has not been determined, but police say there is evidence of electrocution.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
