ALBANY, N.Y. -- Verizon workers march through downtown Albany carrying signs and chanting, "We are the 99 percent."

Workers are walking from the Occupy Albany area of downtown Albany to Zuccotti Park in New York City to express their views about what they call corporate greed.

One marcher said they plan to stop at Verizon wireless stores along the way to make their message clear.

"Let them know that it is important to us that we get a fair contract and that Verizon Wireless employees should also get a fair contract and a chance to become unionized," said Philip Griffith, a Wilton resident.

The rally is expected to reach New York City in about a week.
