SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Former players are among those being asked a lot of questions in the midst of the Bernie Fine investigation. One player in particular has his eyes on the outcome of the investigation. Donovan McNabb sits on SU's Board of Trustees.

McNabb's career has been defined by his play on the football field, though some may forget he also played two seasons on the basketball team.

McNabb was asked about the current situation during an appearance on ESPN's Sportscenter. He answered the question head-on.

“Shocked. You know, being around Bernie for four or five years, and I’ve known him now for 15 years or so… Actually, I should say, 17 or 18 years. It’s been one that you look back on and you just don’t see it. Obviously it’s a disturbing situation. And being on the board, obviously our Chancellor, our athletic director, and people on the board are going through the right channels the way it’s supposed to be handled. And we’re just going to continue to go along as such. But personally, just knowing Bernie, it’s a tough situation,” said Donovan McNabb, SU Board of Trustees member.
